Textile Forum continues to live up to its reputation as THE sourcing event for fashion fabrics, with the October show featuring a great range of exhibitors and a good cross section of visitors looking for quality fabrics.
Despite the uncertain political and economic climate, designers were upbeat and were placing orders as well as sourcing samples for their new collections.
Jamie Morgan of Henry Bertrand, one of the companies that has shown at Textile Forum since it was launched in 2002, was particularly positive, saying he had one of his best shows and had made lots of new enquiries, a view echoed by Saffron Hare of James Hare, which has also supported the event since its inception.
Many exhibitors – including Bridal Fabrics, Carrington Fabrics, Partap and Michaels Bridal Fabrics – were showing sustainable fabrics, something that is becoming more of a consideration to buyers. Textile Forum will be promoting these fabrics in the run up to the March 2020 event.
Exhibitors within the UKFT supported Garment Manufacturing Zone were delighted with the interest shown in production and made an impressive number of new contacts.
